The Colombians were a drug cartel based in both Colombia and Mexico. They originally had a large hand in the distribution of cocaine across the US border. They used the Juárez Cartel as their middlemen, and they received a higher profit off the trade than they did. During his attempted business deal with Don Eladio, Gus Fring brought up how they would no longer need the Colombians with their deal.
At some point the Cartel broke off from the Colombians and entered the meth business.
After the supposed death of Lalo Salamanca, rumors circulated amongst the Cartel that the Colombians had orchestrated the hit, though in actuality it was Gus Fring. ("Wine and Roses")
