Arciniega or Arsiniega?[]
IMDb lists this character's name as Max Arsiniega with an 's'. Is there any source for the name spelled either way?

Why gets Max shot? Was it an order from Don Eladio? Or did he just got crazy? And if it was an order from Don Eladio, what is the reason behind this kill? Just for demonstration, like Gus was killing Victor? 188.103.249.185 08:30, March 23, 2012 (UTC)
No, they weren't for demonstration, but the demonstration was a welcome side effect. The reason to kill Max was to get the edge over the hermanos: both of them together were to much of a force to handle business with. If the Cartel kills one of them, the other could be treated as a vassal as opposed to an equal business partner.The whole conversation in the flashback was to rule out which one of them to kill. Eladio definitely gave Hector permission to kill him, maybe even gave him the right to judge which one of them. In the end, as was said, the only reason Gus lived was because the Cartel knew him.
As for Victor: I think the reason Gus killed him was because he showed off that he can cook without actual having the expertise. That was just a massive asshole move and didn't match with how Gus rolls. Detective Gustafson (talk) 05:05, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
