When Jesse asks Andrea "What kind of mother gets high with a kid to take care of?", she responds strongly, and says - among other things - "On the day Brock was born, I swore that I wouldn't let what happened to Tomas happen to my son. I'd die first." When she said this, Tomas was 11 and Brock was 6. That means that, on the day Brock was born, Tomas was only 5 years old. This would mean that Tomas was already up to no good when he was 5 years old, or Andrea wouldn't made such a statement on the day Brock was born. Seems unlikely that Tomas would've already been corraled by bad people by the age of 5.
