  • Hey so do you think Drew Sharp's and Victo's deaths could be listed on Murders Connected to Walt? Victor most likely wouldn't have been killed unless Walter had Jesse kill Gale, and the whole reason Drew died was cause Walt continued with the train heist he witnessed (even though it wasn't his plan). Plus Walt did nothing to try and stop Todd from shooting him-unlike Jesse who tried to stop him. What about Tuco? Hank would not have showed up in the dessert and killed him had it been for Walt. Would this make him responsible for the killings done by the Cousins? What about No-Doze and Gonzo? Hell, I know this sounds crazy, but isn't Walt responsible for EVERY death on Breaking Bad?

    • Hello.

Indeed, Walter's actions have consequences for the lives of those around him or around him. However, all these people also act according to their own will. We should rather see the actions of Walter as a butterfly effect.

With regard to murders, we distinguish the executor and the sponsor when it is necessary. In the cases you describe, Walter is neither one nor the other.

It is the negligence of Victor that leads him to his loss. Walter does not ask Todd to kill Drew, Todd should not have carried a weapon. Tuco, through his liabilities, chooses to attack Hank, who responds. Finally, it is Gus who plans the clash between Cousins and Hank.

I hope this will help you better understand the interpretation performed on this wiki. However, it may be interesting to check that the whole is consistent, some cases being sometimes subject to discussion (Is Walter really directly responsible for the collision between the two aircraft? I have a doubt on this question).

  • Hello there.

You seem to be the most active admin here, so might as well refer to you everytime something like this happens; Seems like we have a troll around here. He vandalized only one page, minor thing, but might as well stay alert.

  • I think we should try to get rid off all the wanted pages by creating pages for them. I have already gotten it from about 200 to 100.

      Loading editor
    • Hi, I'm already doing it regularly. Most of them are image category pages, I create them when I complete the associated page. The others are pages of characters and actors, which I create when the character seems to deserve a page. If not, I remove the links on the episode page if the character was too minor. It's a job I do after the end of each season, sometimes with a little delay as it was the case for season 3 that I finished only during the broadcast of the first episodes of season 4.

  • Hey Sinequanone! I'm currently in the middle of rewatching Breaking Bad. Since I love reading the trivia that is listed on each episode page on this wiki, I had a look at the Trivia section of the episode I'm currently watching, 'Green Light' (S3E4). It occured to me that there is quite a large spoiler mentioned in one of the facts listed there, namely the following:

"Gus expresses to Mike that he doesn't believe fear to be an effective motivator, but later episodes show he's not afraid to resort to it as the situation requires. Examples include the brutal killing of Victor as a message to Walt and Jesse ("Box Cutter") and the threat to kill Walt's family ("Crawl Space")"

This does not seem right to me. I can imagine that quite a lot of fans of the show, after having watched a certain episode, enjoy going to this Wiki site to read what this community has written about it, to make sure they have grasped all aspects of the plot and haven't missed any details (I remember that I did that quite frequently when I watched the show for the first time). In the light of that, it doesn't seem fair to me to mention events that happen in future episodes on these episode pages, right? It seems only fair to me to keep these episode pages spoiler-free. Let me know what you think!

    • Hello Pangea2. You're right, we could lighten the trivia of the episode "Green Light" and bring this information on the episodes concerned.

  • Hi Sinequanone,

The image that I removed earlier today was one that I uploaded a while ago and realized that it goes against the wiki guidelines.

    Thanks,

  • Hello Sinequanone, I've talked to you before about the Hummel page and appreciated your input. It's come to my attention that two users have been counter-productively undoing each others edits on the Gus page, in fact fighting over an edit I myself made.

When I made the edit, I explained clearly why I made it. The line I deleted made an assumption about the character which was intended to be ambiguous by the writers. I've done this before as well, when the page also listed that Gus had ordered Tomas Cantillo's death, when in fact the show never confirms nor denies this. Making assumptions about characters is not a good practice for a wiki.

The line I edited was actually brought to my attention by someone over on the Better Call Saul subreddit. And so I edited it, just like I did for Tomas Cantillo. Only this time, this user named "Gustobar" undid it without even explaining why. And he joined the same day I made the edit, and the only participation he's had in this wiki is undoing my edit and getting into a war about it with another user.

I believe that "Gustobar" is actually Sin_Researcher, a well known troll on the BCS reddit who goes on rants about how Lydia was impregnated by Herr Schuler and other bizzare theories. I can provide links to the many threads where he does nothing but troll and create spam for the subreddit if you need proof. I see nothing wrong with my original edit and ask that I be allowed to reinstate it. I've thoughfully explained exactly why I changed it. I've made several other edits on this wiki and I believe that I've proven myself to be reliable. I'm sorry this mess has spiraled out of control for you, I reccomend not allowing "Gustobar" or "KeithThe Triangle" to make any further edits. Best Wishes

    • Hello MinmoTheCat,

I'm a regular reader of the Better Call Saul subreddit, although I participate very little.

The changes you made do not cause me any problem. I just asked the two users to stop canceling each other's actions on this page, it does not make sense. I have also activated a first level of protection on the page and I will prevent its modification if the troubles continue.

It's just the uninteresting part of being a wiki admin: doing the policeman does not interest me, even if it's sometimes necessary.

A new episode is broadcast in a few hours, enough to make everyone forget this little quarrel without interest.

      Enjoy! :)

    • Thanks! I also had some dates I thought would be good to add to the timeline, like when HHM was founded and when Howard joined the firm. Thought I'd ask before I added anything since that seems to be your page

  • Hello,

Wikia user MinmoTheCat made a new alt account to remove a line in wikia in order to win a reddit debate, I have been trying to undo this but the alt account - KeithTheTriangle‎ - is still going nonstop.

    Please help.

    Gustobar.

    • That is not my alt. This is my one and only account on here, and I've made several edits before and after I removed that line. When I edited it I explained clearly and thoughtfully why I did so. When you undid my edit you didn't even bother to write an explanation. In fact, it seems as though you created an account for the sole purpose of undoing my edit. If you disagree with it, explain clearly why when undo it instead of getting into a nonstop edit argument with someone else

And also, KeithTheTriangle is an older account than me, so how could it be my alt?

        Loading editor
    • You edited it, then you made an alt account  KeithTheTriangle‎ to edit it, then I exposed what you did, and now you're using your original account to edit it, all to remove the single line about Gus' error.

Nothing happened in the show to justify removing the line as it was originally written, without bias. The only reason you are making this change is because the line was brought up on reddit, on a subreddit, in a thread you were debating in. Within a few hours, you were here, removing the line, for personal reasons. This is NOT how wikia works.

    • Hello,

Editing the Gus page is now only possible by wiki moderators and administrators.

  • Since these hummel figures seem to be such a reoccurring symbol in BCS (hell, there was even one in BB!), should we make a page for them, similar to how we have pages for chemistry, cars, etc?

  • Hi, what’s your opinion on adding pages for real things / people on the wiki? Things like KOB tv or Antoinette Antonio.
