Template:Infobox character Gaff works for the cartel, primarily as an assassin. Unlike the several other button men that the cartel have sent to infiltrate and disrupt Gus's operation, Gaff is very competant at his job. Combined with the fact that he was the sole representative for the cartel at the "negotiation" with Gus, one could imply that Gaff may also be a higher ranking member in the cartel organization.
In Salud Gaff is later strangled to death by Mike after Gus Fring successfully poisons the cartel.
