Season 6 Timeline[]

Time References[]

  • In the flashback at the beginning of "Inflatable", magazines are shown whose cover is dated August 1973, including the Time dated August 20. In an interview, Thomas Schnauz indicates that Jimmy is "like nine years old" in this flashback. However, this is an inconsistency as it would place Jimmy's birthdate in 1963 or 1964. Jimmy's birthdate was confirmed to be November 12, 1960 in "JMM", which means that Jimmy would actually be 12/13 in the flashback.
  • During Kim's lunch with Richard Schweikart, Kim confirms that she has been with HHM for "ten years last August," most likely putting her start date at August 1991. She also states that she worked in the mailroom for six years, which would have her being brought on as an associate around 1998. ("Bali Ha'i")
  • Kim is revealed to be in her third year of law school in March 1993, meaning that she most likely became a lawyer around 1994 or 1995. ("Piñata")
  • Jimmy tells Erin that he came in to Davis & Main as a fourth-year, suggesting that he became a lawyer in 1998, several years after Kim. ("Rebecca")
  • According to the script for "Winner", the flashback to Jimmy first becoming a lawyer and celebrating at the karaoke bar takes place "sometime in the year 1998." ("RICO",  "Winner")
  • The initial date 5/13/02 (May 13, 2002) is seen on Jimmy’s paycheck. ("Uno")
  • The date of 5/25/02 (May 25, 2002) is determined by a receipt attached to Lars Lindholm's medical forms as found by Chuck. ("Mijo")
  • The newspaper Chuck steals show the date June 20, 2002. ("Alpine Shepherd Boy")
  • Marco tells Jimmy it's been 10 years since he’s seen him, setting the year for the Slippin' Jimmy flashbacks to be around 1992. ("Marco")
  • The date of 3/4/2003 (March 4, 2003) is seen on Kim's check to Howard. ("Slip")
  • Howard gives Rebecca a check dated 4/7/2003 (April 7, 2003). ("Breathe")
  • Jimmy meets with his PPD officer on the second Monday of the month, which was April 14, 2003 ("Quite a Ride")
  • We see Jimmy's PPD meeting report dated June 3, 2003, the CC Mobile store has an Independence Day sale, we see another PPD report October 13, 2003, and finally, Jimmy's PPD being completed on January 12, 2004. This is the largest time skip depicted in the series. ("Something Stupid")
  • At his reinstatement hearing, Jimmy describes the "recent" Supreme Court case Crawford v. Washington, which was decided on March 8, 2004. ("Wiedersehen")
  • Fred Whalen’s murder in "Winner" is confirmed to have happened on March 31, 2004. ("Wexler v. Goodman")
  • Lalo is arrested on May 5, 2004. When Mike requests that someone in the police department break room to pick up the inter-office envelope, he establishes that the date on the envelope is "today" and it can be seen that the date on the envelope is 5/5/04. Lalo is arrested later that same day. ("Wexler v. Goodman")
  • Jimmy and Kim's marriage certificate says it is May 06, 2004. ("JMM")
  • In the arraignment of Lalo Salamanca, the prosecutor says that the librarian Lillian Simmons amended her statement to the police (at Mike's prompting "two months" after the murder of Fred Whalen.) ("JMM")
  • Saul mentions that Lalo Salamanca has been in captivity for 3 days in the last act of JMM. ("JMM")
  • Kim says it's been almost two years since Davis & Main got involved in the Sandpiper case in "Cobbler" which is estimated to take place in July 2002. ("Something Unforgivable")
  • The check printed at Sweet Liberty Tax Services is dated 05/23/04. Another check shown at the end of the episode for a few frames is dated 5/28/04. ("Carrot and Stick")
  • Kim and Jimmy discuss their plan and mention that it must go down "by the 18th". ("Rock and Hard Place")
  • Francesca mentions that the Sandpiper mediation meeting will take place on Thursday, and 6/24/2004 (D-Day) was indeed a Thursday. ("Axe and Grind")
  • An oversized check Gus presents to a youth development group is dated 6/24/2004. ("Plan and Execution")
  • The vanity license plate on Goodman's car expires on November 2005 meaning it's more than likely 2005. The radio mentions that the S&P 500 went up by 5 points yesterday, the only time that happened from November 2004-November 2005 was February 10th, meaning the flash-forward takes place on February 11. ("Fun and Games")
    • Thomas Schnauz, a writer for the show, said on his twitter that the flash-forward scene is "roughly in 2007".
  • Frank asks Gene if he saw the game "last night", where Nebraska lost to Texas (on October 16, putting the first time Gene meets Frank to October 17). During the montage, the next time Gene and Frank meet, they talk about the away game against Oklahoma State, making it October 23. Paying close attention to the montage helps add up how many days leading up to Gene's heist, making it roughly October 30 at the end of the montage, so this means the heist was most likely on Halloween going into November 1, considering Frank talks about the football game the night before. ("Nippy")
  • In "Quite a Ride", Jimmy has arranged for a phone call on November 12 at 3 pm for Francesca to pick up; the phone call is shown at the beginning of the episode "Breaking Bad", making the start date for the episode November 12. ("Breaking Bad")
  • Kim and Jimmy's divorce papers state that the two were married on May 6, 2004. ("Waterworks")
  • According to the date on Kim's affidavit, which is included with the Blu-ray release of season 6, it was submitted on November 19, 2010. ("Waterworks")
