The Chrysler 300 SRT-8 is the car that Walter White leases for himself for his 51st birthday.

History[]

Breaking Bad[]

The day before Walter White's 51st birthday, he sold his Pontiac Aztek for $50 and leased a brand new Chrysler 300 SRT-8. The rate on the leases fits within his car wash cover story. He also leased Walter White Jr. a Dodge Challenger the same day. ("Fifty-One")

When Mike decides to retire from the drug trade and flee the police, Walt drives to get Mike's bag for him. Just before Mike is about to leave, Walt shoots him with Mike's own revolver. ("Say My Name") Walt transports Mike's corpse inside of the trunk to the Vamonos Pest warehouse to dispose of it. ("Gliding Over All")

Walter later abandoned the Chrysler 300 in the desert after the gas tank is struck by stray bullet and leaks all of its fuel. ("Ozymandias")

Trivia[]

  • The model, which is first seen in "Fifty-One", is actually a 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT-8. This makes sense in reality since the fifth season was filmed in early 2012; but not for the the show's universe, which takes place in 2009-2010.
  • The plate number appears to refer to season 5 of Breaking Bad, episode 9.
  • The founder of Chrysler automobiles was Walter Chrysler, who shares the same first name as Walter White.
