You know someone means business when even Gus of all people is afraid of him.
Walt and Jesse got extremely lucky they didn't start their business in the early 2000s because Lalo would've dealt with them with a devilish smile on his face.
@NicoUC10 You can say the same thing about Chuck as well tho. Without him, Jimmy would never become Saul. But I agree, Lalo was the best villain and antagonist in the entire BB/BCS universe and the fact that he just started out as a throw away line is insane!

Apparently he didn't give a crap about Ciro either, someone he claimed to care about.
One of the biggest things that makes Lalo different from other BB/BCS criminals is that he lacks complete empathy.
Some of the other criminals in the franchise have shown genuine guilt and sadness whenever they did something horrible sometimes or when someone they love got hurt/killed:
Saul expressing guilt over the demise of Chuck and Howard.
Kim showing remorse for Howard in the end.
Walt being remorseful for the way he treated Jesse and Hank's death.
Mike becoming depressed after killing Werner and losing his son.
Gus being a complete husk of a man after the death of Max, afraid of ever loving again.
The Twins mourning "Lalo"
Hector crying over the deaths of his family members.
Even freaking Todd being remorseful for killing that cleaning lady in El Camino, wishing to bury her somewhere nice.
Lalo didn't have any of these kinds of moments. Although he claimed to be upset over deaths of the people at his home, I think he only viewed them as pets and not actual people.
He just continued to be like his usual self after their deaths, being all smiley and joking around which proves how detached he is and has a complete lack of empathy even torwards those he claims to care about. Even more so than Todd or anyone else from the Salamanca family.
Not to mention, he has does have clear understanding of morals, he just doesn't give a f**k about it.
