Manuel is very much aware of the difference between justice and revenge

Jesse does some awful things over the course of the series and his first instinct when somebody does something bad to him is to attempt to kill them. He’s much more moral than most other people in the BB universe but that doesn’t mean he’s good.

From what I've seen Steven doesn't have any corrupting qualities

Gomez didn't do anything bad or illegal yet per se, but I can imagine him doing "extralegal" stuff like Hank. They're made up of the same thing.

I mean Gomez could've stood a chance if Manuel wasn't an option. Manuel is one of the cleanest characters I could think of in the entire story.
