August 11th is finally here. This forum should have a thread where all Season 5B talk can go, so here it is.

Who else is more excited for today than they were for X-Mas as a 5 year old?

RicinCigarette wrote: He doesnt want Skyler to know the cancer is back because thats what she wanted. He doesnt want to see her satisfied.

But skyler's happy now, i think walt doesn't want her to know that he quit the meth business because of the cancer and not because of the family.

He quit because of the pile of money, there was no point working hard to make meth and adding even more money to the pile because it cant be laundered it would just sit in that storage locker for who knows how long. He didnt know the cancer came back until some point in 509. The relationship with Sklyer isnt 100% either, so he feels its better to not complicate it by revealing something she wished for when she hated him.

I don't agree.

1) Walt found out his cancer was back just after the scene whith the MRI in 508, because in 509 he was already having chemotherapy.

2) Walt is very prideful, he wouldn't quit because he had a big pile of money, if he were like that, he would've sold out his methylamine for 5 million dollars

1) He saw the pile of money before his MRI. It takes about a week to get MRI results back and he went from the clinic to Jesses house to Skyler to tell her that hes out. Theres no way he found out in that short window.

2) What good is all that money if its not laundered? It cant be laundered and adding to it means he couldnt have the kids back home.

But he could've just told skyler he's out without actually being out, and i'm gonna rewatch Gliding Over All right now to see if you're right about 1)

He didn't go from the clinic to jesse's house, he was wearing different clothes, but he did go directly from jesse's house to tell skyler he was out, so, who says there wasn't a time skip between the cancer clinic and jesse's house, because it seems out of charachter for walt to just quit.

If he kept cooking and earning un-launderable money he couldnt have the kids back home. And Gilligan said on the "inside 508" that Walt realized when he saw the money that hes surpassed the goal and theres no point cooking anymore.
