Maybe I missed something, but weren't those his own glasses he was wearing in the cabin? So why couldn't he see with them?
Let's be honest; within three months, Jesse will be making meth in Alaska. He'll be dead within the year.

In the Trivia section for Salud, it says that just before Mike got shot, he was pulling his gun on Jesse. I don't think this is true. While it does kind of look like that, if you're primed to expect it, I think it's just a random movement of Mike's arm as he's getting into the car. It doesn't make sense for Mike to be about to kill Jesse. The point of the trip was to see if Jesse was capable of taking over the lab from Walter. Also, in the emergency hospital, there was a refrigerator containing blood for Jesse, proving they wanted to keep him alive. I think this trivia section should be changed, I just don't want to do it myself, being new here.
My feeling is that Gale's mistake was a genuine one, but Walt seized on it as an excuse to find Gale unsuitable. Walt didn't like working with someone as qualified as he was. He enjoyed the sense of superiority he got with Jesse.Ā Jesse was easy to control.
